Sweety Shetty (born on 7 November 1981), better known by her stage name Anushka Shetty is an Indian film actress, who works for the South Indian film industry. She made her acting debut in the 2005 Telugu film Super and rose to fame following her performance in Vikramarkudu (2006) before foraying in Tamil Cinema.

She received high critical acclaim for her portrayal of the titular character in Arundhati[4] and as Saroja in Vedam[5] which fetched her two Filmfare, one Nandi and two CineMAA Awards. Mirchi (Telugu: మిర్చి) is an upcoming Telugu film written and directed by debutante Koratala Siva.^[3] The film stars Prabhas, Anushka Shetty and Richa Gangopadhyay in the lead roles and Sathyaraj, Adithya and Nadhiyain pivotal roles. The film started its regular shooting on December 1, 2011 in Hyderabad.^[4] The film was tentatively titled Vaaradhi, but was later renamed to Mirchi.^[5] The film is scheduled to release on February 8, 2013.
