Sweety Shetty (born on 7 November 1981), better known by her stage name Anushka Shetty is an Indian film actress, who works for the South Indian film industry. She made her acting debut in the 2005 Telugu film Super and rose to fame following her performance in Vikramarkudu (2006) before foraying in Tamil Cinema.

She received high critical acclaim for her portrayal of the titular character in Arundhati[4] and as Saroja in Vedam[5] which fetched her two Filmfare, one Nandi and two CineMAA Awards. Alex Pandian (Tamil: அலெக்ஸ் பாண்டியன்) is an upcoming Tamil action-masala film directed by Surajthat features Karthi and Anushka Shetty in the lead roles, while Santhanam plays a pivotal supporting role. Devi Sri Prasad composed the music. The film will also be dubbed and simultaneously released in Telugu as Bad Boy.^[2] The film is scheduled to release for January 12th 2013.^[3]The telugu version, Bad Boy is scheduled to release on January 25, 2013.
